The Skippack Creek Clock

Circa 1825

Originally build in Evansburg, Pennsylvania by Daniel H. Solliday; this Federal period tall-case clock is the epitome of the country style popular at the time. First reproduced by the Perkiomen Clock Co. in 1995, this case has a base with sunken panels sitting on turned feet. The waist has chamfered corners, while the hood has a traditional split pediment with hand-turned finials and sunburst rosettes. The moon dial with date wheel has arabic numerals and is hand-painted. Seen here is tiger maple with a honey stain. It is also available in cherry.
Height 94"
