Clocks

The Hilltown

Circa 1780

Similar examples of this high-style Chippendale case appear to have been used by both Seneca Lukens and Benjamin Morris, two famous clock makers on the outskirts of Philadelphia. Seen here in natural cherry, it is also available in tiger maple. The case features fluted quarter columns in both the waist and base. The hood has a hand-carved keystone, dogwood flower rosettes and flame finials. You may choose between the traditional moon dial and the rocking ship dial.
