Philadelphia Chippendale
Circa 1760
Fashioned after the clocks of prominent Philadelphia clockmaker John Wood, this bold timepiece is best shown in mahogony (as pictured) or walnut with a brass dial. Fluted quarter columns are used in both the waist and base sections. The broken arch bonnet has a closed top with flame finials.
